need info for police clearance

I just read that we need police and FBI clearance too.I have been in usa for 4 years now.So should I get the state police and FBI clearance before I leave for India for good to get married to my fiancee who is a canadian citizen?Or I can do that when I am in India?Please guide me as I getting more and more confused as I reading all the rules and regulations.Thank you.

easier to get police clearance while u are in USA. FBI is enough.
