I immigrated to Canada about an year back. I worked for a family doctor for about an year and then since we had to move, I left the job. Presently I am a house wife with a 7 year old son. I am looking for an advice on the possible Short term certificate courses that I can take, which would enhance my chances for getting a job or do some home based self employed business on a small term. I believe that if you select the right course there are better opportunities for individuals.

If anyone has an idea on the possible avenues and opportunites, it would give me an insight.

Don't you think background education also matters... Rather then depend only a Short term certificate cousrses..??

Yes it does to an extent. However dwelling on your past background may not be smart. I have learnt that your education in India is hardly recognised unless you take some Canadian education. My education is Bacelor of Arts with English. I would love to pursue a career if available with this background. However I thought that some short term courses may offer me better prospects.
