Hi all the learned desis,
Seeking advice and guidance on what is the best career change option for a B.COM, MBA who wants to transition into finance?
Would someone be kind enough to state the difference between CMA, CGA & CPA and stress on which would be a best option.

Thanx in advance...

I can particularly tell you about CGA where I am currently enrolled. With your background you should be getting 50% exemtion, subject to their assessment.

But please keep in mind, whatever you study, you have to basically start fromm the scratch!

All the best!

HI

We have a query in here that do they consider the B.com + CA of India and M.com + CA of India at the same level for CGA. OR they say that B.com is a three year course in India and ask to to spend one year in college before letting you start CGA..

an early and detailed reply will be appreciated..

CAs are also good, though they have more stringent rules but you get to work with public limited companies and also the Big 4!

Hi All

I am BE + PGDBA and CFA from India and very new to cananda. I have IT experience as ERP Functional Financial Consultant with 2 yrs as Oracle Financials. Also exploring accounts and finance line here in canada for initial survival.

Would appreciate if you can give feedback as how much credit i can get?
Also what is the duration and cost involved for all three courses? CGA, CPA and CMA. Can this be done part time or thru correspondence?

Thanks

Dilip sharma
