I'm a landed PR. I have valid I-94 card in passport, I commute to Detroit for work (H1B vias). I am planning to visit India (Toronto-Delhi-Toronto) in November 2004.
1. Can anyone tell me if they (Canadian immigration) will take away my I-94 card at the airport when I travel to India?
2. If I enter Canada by flight from USA, do Canadian officials stamp the passport?
(when I drive car from USA to Detroit, CIC does not stamp my passport, they only check my PR card.) If I travel from USA to Canada by bus/train (Greyhound/Amtrak), does CIC stamp the passport when I have the PR card?
Thanks!
If you have a valid H1B visa stamped and if that is good to go for quite some more time(I believe your I94 is valid til your H1B visa validity) then to avoid conflict it is better to handover your current I94 when you are last time leaving USA before vacation
Afer completion of vacation when you will start commuting work to US at POE you can ask for a new I94 based on your stamped H1B visa
Thanks
