Hi Everyone,
I was just wondering if someone can help or guide me in the right direction. I have a Civil Engineering degree from an accredited university in another country but unfortunately the PEO are still insisting on me doing exams.
I need to sit the exams this May so I was wondering does anyone know where I can get solutions to the exam papers because as far as I know the PEO will not provide detailed solutions.
I have a rough idea of which exams I plan to take but also my decision will be effected on what solutions are actually available as I have never sat exams in Canada so I also need the solutions to give an idea of what type of standard they expect and what way the exams are marked etc.
Thanks
YES. I will be able to guide you in the right direction. It is all free and VOLUNTARY.
The person who will coach you needs to get paid for the time taken and the cost of the materials provided.
If you need professional guidance which will enable you to get your FULL Recognition and it gets done easily, you will get a head start in your profession quicker. The money you will be spending will be well worth the expense.
If YES, please drop me a note.
FH.

Hi,
Great question. Yes, PEO will compare your degree to a Canadian equivalent and then assign exams if there are any gaps. My company helps aspiring exam writers with the process and we have seen international applicants having to write between 1 and 15 exams! Hopefully, you weren't required to write too many.
First, hopefully, you have already found two great sources for old exams (without the solutions). They are:
1. Current exams - https://www.egbc.ca/Registration/Individual-Registrants/How-to-Apply/Examinations-Seminars/Academic-Examinations/Past-Academic-Exams
2. Older exams - http://www.apegm.mb.ca/PastExamPapers.html
For the solutions, my company provides solutions and support to over 50 technical exam topics including a number of civil, mechanical, electrical, basic studies and complementary studies. You can learn more here: xxxx
Good luck!

Hi folks,
I am also in the same boat, looking for assistance (in the shape of material / coaching) to write the technical exams. I have a mechanical engineering degree.
Further to this would like to comment on few posts of this thread.
Full House - Please inbox me the contact details for the guy who can help me with these exams. You just mentioned above that you know someone who can help.
theambition - you said that you have been assigned just two subjects. Not sure you are doing it under PEO (Ontario) or elsewhere. As PEO would typically send you a course list having three groups. And you are to pick subject of your choice, two from group A, one from group B and one from group C. This is what has happened with few mechanical guys. Also, if you manage to secure more than 60% in two subjects (should be one from each group), rest two get exempted.
Would you mind clarifying how in your case they just assigned only two subjects to you, unless you are in a different province that Ontario or things have changed recently.
I_help_Engineers - Could you please share a link where i could find some material (subject outlines / past papers) for Ontario (PEO). Please inbox me your company details that can help provide solutions and guide further in my pursuit for P.Eng.
Thank you,
