yes, I think you should not miss the oppurtunity back home, and you can always come back later on if you feel the need, (and hopefully things might be better here in the future).

Deal With Reality or Reality Will Deal With You
Hi Proud Indian
Better you take it in writing if possible from your old company if they wish to employ you again, back home. If you get it in writing and if the company is medium or a large one, by all means go ahead.

PI,
I used to be of a different opinion about people going back to india. But after reading your post it feels you will be better off there with regards to your immediate job search , if your company is making you a better offer...and you feel that is what you wan then dont look back and go ahead. You are the best judge for youeself.
Evaluate both long and shortterm pro and cons for your family before making the move.
Wish you all the success.

Advice is free – lessons I charge for!!
Dear Anandramnath,
The genaral feeling one gets from your post is that you are not happy in canada and believe at the moment that you were happier in India.
In my opinion, you should sit down and think about this for a few days. Take the advise offered, but don't take any hasty decisions.
All the best !!
Ayaskant.

Success
To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded. Bessie Stanley
Just a suggestion, instead of mentioning "my field job" mention what field is it? You never know where an opportunity comes along.
My experience trying to help new immigrants haven't been good. They have very high expectations and low reliability.
