Hi everybody,
I have a quick query and would appreciate your feedback.
When we land in Canada in Mid-July (tickets are still waitlisted & still waiting for stamped visas/passports from CHC, London), we would like to complete the PR card formalities and SIN card formalities within a week and would like to proceed to Chicago by bus to visit my sister there).
Since our return tickets are from Toronto to Kuwait, we will require to re-enter Canada to take the return flight after a week's stay in Chicago.
When we re-enter Canada, what papers are checked at the border. Is our passport sufficient to re-enter Canada or do they insist on seeing our PR cards, which ofcourse we will not have with us, as it will be under process and I understand takes atleast 3 weeks to be issued.
Thank you once again.
Hi,
If u are crossing the border by bus, u need to have the PR card to enter into Canada.
If u are crossing by private vehicle, u don't need PR card. With the COPR, u will be able to enter.
Pl. go through the following link

Thanks for your advise. I really appreciate it. We are planning to now fly out from Chicago rather than re-entrying Canada without the PR.
However, please advise if it is possible to travel in a public bus from Canada to US and do you think there will be any immigration problem at the US border when we enter, ofcourse we will have valid US visas. Would appreciate feedback.
If you have all valid visas to enter USA , you will not have any problem entering US .

We will find a way or we will make one
