I recently switched to Android from Blackberry. I used to use password keeper application on BB phone. Unfortunately Samsung does not have built-in password application. Hence I am looking for secure password application. I came across Safe In Cloud Password Manager http://www.safe-in-cloud.com on Google play. I have no idea on how this application works and stores personal information.

More information about this Application:

1. It uses 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) for user data encryption. This algorithm is widely used by the US government and also worldwide. It is registered in U. S. Bureau of Industry and Security with ERN R102573. Its all greek to me

2. This application is 5 star rated and is paid application on Google play.

Is it safe to use this kind of application for storing personal information ?

Do they store our information on their server ? Can they use our information (i.e. password etc) ?

I use an Excel spreadsheet that is password protected with a 32 alpha-numeric password and store in it in 2 of my portable hard drives. Has worked so far. As much as I am aware my computer could be hacked and password decrypted, I am not comfortable using a cloud storage for this.

Excel is excellent for PC/Mac. I am not comfortable with spreadsheet on smart phone due to screen size and not user friendly for modification. Spreadsheet is not handy on the go.

We share the same view on cloud storage.

Agreed. Didn't pay attention to the need on the smartphone.

Some apps allow you to turn off the cloud storage option and leave it on the phone. Of course, that option is usually meant to help out when traveling overseas where data roaming takes into effect, yet need to use the app to dump stuff.

I deviced a method , where I never had to remember any password, and even if I place my password in mail or on desktop notepad or scribbled on a paper , nobody can use it.

The fact that i do not have any excel or password file , means the method works well.
