Hi,

I am moving to Winnipeg soon with family. I would be grateful if I could get some information about :

1.Which residential communities are good for family with children (safe, family oriented and with nearby schools/groceries)?

2. What should be the approximate rent (2 bed) that I should budget for in such community?

3.Popular schools for children (elementary and Senior High)

4.General cost of living (for rent, transportation, utilities etc)

5.Any housing communities to be particularly avoided (unsafe)?

6.Job Market for Bank/HR executive.

I have browsed through charcha for information about Winnipeg but could not find any recent update there.

Have heard about some negatives for the city:

a.the city does not provide good job market opportunities compared to the other big cities in Canada.

b.the city is swarmed with mosquitoes

c. Highest crime rate and car theft.

Please let me know if there is any truth in the above negatives?
