Hi,
Just wondering...if one were to land with 10000 cad, how much would one be left with after one has paid for furniture, utilities, phone connection, deposit and rent for the accommodation? I would look for a 1 large bed apartment in an okay area.
By the way, are there any places in GTA which one must avoid living in, or are all neighbourhoods nice and safe?
Thanks.

Thank you for the eye-opener. I will now be more careful and plan accordingly, so that I don't commit the foolish mistake that you committed by bringing in less money than required.
Any other suggestions will be welcome.

If you are thinking of landing with 10K cad, then don't be afraid, you can land with that money, but you have to plan accordingly.
Cheers
