your views/comments/experience would be very beneficial as we are residing in one of Toronto's rental apartment building.
Always paid rent upto 10 th of the month,however recently the property manager told the tenants verbally that starting from July 01, rent must be paid on first of the month,otherwise he will charge $50 as fine.

Check your rental agreement.. What ever is written there is what is valid. If the management is changing the terms written, you have the option to break the contract.

My rental agreement in Mississauga specifically mentioned that the rent should be paid by the 1st of the month. Check yours it should mention something about it.
