i am Canadian Citizen i would like to apply for my child
i called CIC call centre and found out necessary info

please share info people who have already applied for their children ad Canadian citizen

You say that you are a Canadian Citizen, you just apply for a PR Visa from here and should have no problem if there are people to accompany him and bring him in.

Please provide an Authorization and Permission letter for the child to travel with who so ever is going to bring him, with all of the pertinent details in it.

If you need any other help, you can get in touch with an Immigrant Help Center near by and get all of the papers filled and other things ironed out at that location.

If you are bringing him/her in, then you apply for a visitors visa and complete the formalities. You can discuss this issue also at the Help Center.

They are very friendly and will assist you with all of the paper work too. You have to drop in at their center.

If you were a canadian citizen at the time of time your child was born, your child may already be a canadian citizen. The word MAY is important due to recent changes in the citizenship laws.

If the child is already a canadian citizen, then you need to obtain proof of citizenship (apply for citizenship card) which would then be used to apply for the passport.

If you were not a cdn citizen when your child was born, then follow steps for PR sponsorship.
