Hi Freddie,

Finally I received PR acknowledgement after 5 months saying that they have started evaluating my application.
I would like to know what to do if the new workpermit is not received before the expiry of the current one as I applied a little late (2 weeks). Can I contact the call centre/local immigration office/have to move out of Canada till I get the renewal ?

Thanks in advance.....

Since you posted this separately as a new thread, it has lost its continuity. None the less, since you are in employment where ever you are, please hang in there.

They have also acknowledged your application, I am sure you will get the automatic renewal if you ask for one too. But you must attach the offer of employment to the application and also pay the fees for the renewal of the work permit. The call center will tell you what to do now, in a situation like this. (The copy of the one attached to the PR application will do.)
NO. You stay put and stay there in your job. The processing of the application might be delayed a little bit, but the ball is in their court and you have very little control over it. Let it take its own course.

Don't go out side of Canada. Stay here and work like a slave and make a few bucks while you can.

Hope things will pick up soon and every thing will look rosy after that.

Good Luck.

Freddie.

Hi Freddie,

Thank you for your valuable suggestions. I will contact call centre for my workpermit application status. Also, will try to hang on here till get PR.

Sorry for the confusion...will keep continuity for future posts.

Thanks again....
