Happy Holi to every Canadian Desi and all other fellow desis from other parts of the world.
Here in Toronto we do play holi and do Holika Dahan in Temple (most of the temples arrange cultural programms followed by Dry Holi by using Gulal only). Yesterday, we all went to 'Hindu Sabha Temple' in Brampton wherein they arranged a 'cultural program' done by the students of their 'Hindi School' which was watched by more than 2500 people.
We generally also go to the 'Oakville Temple' where are also a couple of thousand people gather to enjoy holi by dancing on the drum beats and play Gulal. They have this program today ie. 7th March.
However, we really do miss very much the holi we played in India which used to be very colorful and was not confined to indoors but was played
in every street and corner. And who can forget the different types of foods, sweets and Thandai which follows the 'Rang'.
Holi is really one festival which fills our lives with colors and give us all the opportunity to meet, greet and make friends with everyone.
