Keep ur eyes closed ! :)

Am not too sure about how comfortable you are with lenses; it would depend on that, I think.
What do you do when u go swimming ?
I personally feel that it's better to have contacts on in a lot of situations, rather than not have them on. I feel that they offer a protective layer, should anything happen (I am assuming you are using soft lenses). I understand that the idea may seem totally stupid and bizzare, and doctors may wish to disagree, but I have known them to be totally wrong with a lot of other things too.
If you are not comfortable with water being splashed in your eyes when you have your lesnes on, I think you should avoid wearing them for Holi....

On another note, what is the maximum duration that you can have ur contacts on, and be comfortable with them ?

I want the cultures of all the lands to be blown about my house as freely as possible.
But I refuse to be blown off my feet by any.

Well..I dont do much swimming..but if I did i would wear goggles.
I thought that holi colors are powders..not liquid..but even people who dont wear glasses/contacts - do they get colours in their eyes??

I can wear my contacts for 8 hours per day. However there are extended lenses out in the market that you can wear much longer. They are usually not recommended.

Holi clours are not only powder, they can be liquids too, and a lot of oil, grease, and a lot of other things, depending on the company you are in :)

People who don't wear contacts have problems too with the colours, and personally, I don't see any problems with having your contacts on. You will probably have the same problems that someone without contacts would.
Makes me wonder, have you ever considered making a fahion statement on Holi, by sporting swimming goggles ? :)
I'm pretty sure that's what Paris Hilton would do if she ever found herself in a similar situation !
