Dear CDs,

I would be moving into a new Condo soon, so is there any suggestion based on experince by expert CDs for above. Basically I undestand there are just 2-3 major players Rogers / Bell / Cogeco. My idea is to have all 3 services from one vendor and get max discount but how about Indian content on TV and calling rates to India which is better altrenative or any radical approach is recommended?

Thanks

Please use the search feature by keying in 'home phone' , 'internet' , 'long distance india' , 'rogers' ,'primus' -- I am sure these have been discussed a lot many times and there s substantial info present - you might wish to add on to those threads to keep the info in one place .

Try private desi dish dealers for the TV - once installed , enjoy forever .

plse tell me the intersection and building number so that I can give you the correct suggestion. For houses,it is a different game and for condos the technical requirements to go thru by u r different. I will write to you in detail after I hear from you. Plse do check with your builder if they have fiber coming to the building. I am sure new condos are getting fiber to the building. plse do check with builder. Most buildings may not allow you to instal your own sat dish and your own dish may not work also if it is i the vicinity of other high rising condos. Many condos do not have bell cable. Although Rogers you will find everywhere. It all depends where you are moving.

Thanks for the comments, I have moved on with Rogers since there is not much choice in the Condo I plan to move in.

Just a suggestion it maybe a good idea to make a 101 doc on Landline/cable TV/ Internet for just landed desi's.

Happy migration to new comers !

That is why I had asked you for intersection and building number because most of the old condos do not have any other option than Rogers. All
new condos have fiber going straight from central office to the condo but this
has not been implemented in all areas.
You have taken the right decision. BTW how much will you be paying them every month ?

I hope to sign off around $100 for Cable TV + Internet + Landline, which appears to be reasonable with 2 indian channels... for cellphone I got a good deal from FIDO so basic things done !

I believe having all three services from one Service provider makes sense and is Win ~ Win for both. Good thing is despite the bad reviews I found a 'listening' rogers contact which did the trick for me !

Thanks !
