Hi,,
I have just received a letter requesting to submit Police Clearance Cert and Medical check up for the whole family.
I have few question related to it..
1. My wife is not in Saudi Arabia at the moment, she is pursuing her studies in US. Can she get her medical done in the US with the same documents I received for Saudi Arabia??? or Do I need to ask CIC for more documents for her to be examined in US.
2. IS Police Clearance is required for my two year old baby son???? The checklist does not request it, but they have sent three documents requesting Police Certificate.
3. Is Machine readable passport necessary for Canadian Immigration. So far my whole family does not have Machine readable passport.
4. Does receiving medical check request means that the interview has been waived??

You have to provide police clearance for yourself and the wife from ALL of the locations that you stayed for over a period of SIX months. That includes India also. The child will not need one. Please fill in the same and provide all of the details there in and attach a letter giving age as the reason for that.
You will have to forward all of he documents to your wife for the completion of her medicals. If you can obtain the list of locations, nearby where she studies, then, she can proceed to get them done there. Submit to the location where it is getting processed, providing them with all of the details and any reference number to it.
Normally, you can request the Indian Embassy to replace your old passport with a new Machine readable one, as it is the current practice to scan them, even at the airline ticket counters. You should have no problems in obtaining them.
When you enter Canada, you will also need a validity of five years or more for the stamping. So, if you look at the date of issue and the approximate time required for the current processing of PR Visa to Canada, you will find that it becomes necessary to renew it, at which time they will be providing you with a Machine readable one. So, you have ample time to do that and you should like wise ask the wife also to update the same, from the location that she is in, if it calls for.
You follow the instructions provided and when the times comes for the interview, they will let you know if it is necessary or it is waived. Currently you should anticipate it. That is my opinion.
Please explain very clearly about the situation, like what you have provided here, with names and the locations etc., and also the time required for completion of your wife's studies in the USA, to the processing people. That will keep them abreast of the situation from time to time, as they unfold, by the arrival of the reports from different locations for the same family, with regards to Medicals and Police Clearances from FBI and Local State Police.
You please communicate with them asking about the matters raised here and get a proper response from them, before you take any action in this.

But my question is still unanswered.... Can my wife use the same medical request form in US ( the one which I have received for her in SAUDI ARABIA). Or Do I need to request a new one for her to be used in US.

To obtain the list of locations, close to where she is currently studying, please contact the Immigration authorities that you are in touch with and get all of the details. At that time, please ask if the same forms that you have received will be good for that location too. ( Generally there are, and only one set that I know.)

She can do it in USA, but try to do it on same date so both have one year validity,

About the fourth point mentioned by Parth... I need to know, how much time does it usually takes to get this PR visa stamped. I mean I can get my wife's Passport from US to Saudi Arabia , through Fedex or something.. But does it take long to get it stamped. I have applied in London.
It might take anywhere from 10-12 months Minimum. Currently it is slightly longer. You will have to see the threads that are currently running from families that are arriving from your area. There is one, here on the CD and on other immigration.ca sites.

You do have your passport don't you. Please check the date of issue. If you have six years left then you are O.K. Otherwise send the same for the Machine readable one. That will bring you up to date and there will not be any hold ups anywhere. Some times it is painful, especially with family in tow. ( You will see it at the airport line ups and the Immigration Lineups.) You will have your old Passports too.
