Hello,

I have found out that I can get my teeth cleaned for free from students studying to be dentists or dental hygenists. Should i use their services. Has anyone got their teeth cleaned from them. Are they good or it is not worth it......pl. advice. Usually they charge $30 registration fee which they give back after all the cleaning.

Please advice soon because I have an appointment on 10th July.

I would not get my hair cut from a student even if it is free. Dental !!! No way. What would you do if they screw up? Why become a guinea pig?

I have a different opinion than Iceberg, because I have got my teeth at cleaned at a dental hygiene school for $20 in toronto. They did an excellent job, infact the students are doing a better job than the practicing dentists or hygenists. ( reason I spent $300 at aclinic and the job was not done perfectly. Lot of calclus was found when I went to school)

The treatment is monitored at each and every step by registered hygienists and dentists. I would recommend to go and try. dont worry.....

Thanx for giving me confidence colgate. I have decided to go ahead. I agree with you. I have talked with the dental student on the phone for a long time and they do not mind u asking any types of questions. Once I have had my procedure (cleaning) I will write abt. my experiences.
