Dental Hygienist course

I am a dentist from India. I gave Acfd but didn't get admission in Royal college of dentistry so I will try again for next year.
Has anybody done dental hygienist course in Toronto?
What is the difference between accreditated and nonaccredated courses?
Are dentists are eligable to give direct national dental hygiene certification exam or they have to do 2 years Dental Hygienist course

You have to enroll for a 2 years course , that's the only option makes you eligible to appear for dental hygiene certification exam, No matter you are a foreign trained dentist. This is what I heard from one of my dentist friend from India who is about to complete the course here in Canada.
