Hi All

We are planning to move to Canada in July / August. I read a few post on this forum and came to know that a few areas in Toronto are not safe for kids.

Can you guys please help me here, my son is 4 years old and i am also planning to admit him in public school for junior kindergarten.

Are schools safe there in Toronto? Please advice..this will help me scheduling my move better

Thanks all in advance

I think you should search the forum on discussions on Areas to live in Toronto etc. as there are many such posts. You will have to choose and narrow down the areas you want to live in. Toronto is a big city. Other than highly publicized 'bad' areas like Jane/Finch, there may be other pockets which are not great. It is hard to speak for the whole of Toronto as being safe or unsafe when you ask if schools are safe in Toronto. It is like saying, is Mumbai safe?

Scarborough ,Overlea Boulevard ,Thorncliffe Park and the Area around Ontario Science Center is BAD. Basically any area with Immigrants from Caribean and Africa.

BAsically Brampton and Missisuaga are a safe bet to stay.
