Any body else with this T5 issues ,cannot file my return ,every time they say will mail next week.Should I file my Tax Return without them?

They have time till the end of the month to send the same to you.

Surely you can file your tax return if you know the full details of the same (T5) or approximate the same and get it into the tax return and work with it and file your return. Based on the filing the computer from the tax department coughs up a NOA and the refund cheque or a demand notice with interest due. Takes about three weeks or so.

Later on you can amend the return with an amendment form and correct the dollar amount and claim more (OR pay back as the case may be).

i am waiting for a T4 from my employer!!!!!

it is holding up my $$$$ in tax refundables.

Same situation here. Waiting for ICICI to mail me T5. They can't seem to get their act together.

Why dont you log into your account on the internet get a printout and total the interest for the year and put it on your tax form? They provide a monthly interest so should not be too difficult.

I got a T5 slip from PC banking few weeks ago.Along with the T5 i got a little pink slip/note about some important information about interest income. In that one of the notes said that if the interest was less than 50$ they would not issue T5 slips however the account holder has still has to declare the interest money on the income tax. I am not sure how the other banks would work. I have a hi saving account with ICICI in which i had parked quite a few thousand dollars but eventually moved to PC bank. I still have some money about 100$ i didnt wait for their T5 and went ahead and filed my taxes last week.
