I am Canadian PR with 10 years multiple entry B2 visa to US. Now I am joining a Canadian Company which has lots of US operations. My job requires frequent travel to US. The travel would be for 3-4 days ( for internal audit / SOX) job. I have booked an appointment for a B1/B2 visa with the visa post in Toronto.
My questions are What letter shall a carry from the employer ( like Full time employee, needs frequent travel , expenses paid by etc) Is there a good format for this letter?
Do I have to carry anydocument every time I enter US at the port of entry? If yes what sort of document is good enough?
Please help me in understanding the requirements.

If you already have a B2 multiple entry US visa for 10 years, why did u take an appointment in the US embassy? It does not make sense to me (or am I missing something?)

B-2 is for Pleasure while as B-1 is for Business. Think if you apply for B-1, they give you B-2 though am not sure if it works the other way round.
Yes you will need a letter from your employer stating the reason why you need to go to US. It can just be a simple letter stating the reason for going to us, your position in the company & maybe the salary you earn. Also it should mention that the company would cover the travel expenses for you.

Since it will be your first time, they might want to know the reason for visit. You can show them whatever documents you have. In case you are going to attend some work for your comapny so you will have your papers or whatever .... just show them all the papers

The visa is usually B1/B2 combined (printed on the visa sticker) and can be used for either purpose. If the OP has given only B2 (which is really surprising), then your point is valid and he needs to apply for the business visa. But if the visa that he already has is B1/B2, then there is no need to make an appointment to get another visa, he can use the existing visa.
My visa is B2 and not a B1/B2 visa. So the requirement for the new appointment
