When you address this question to a particular individual, we have no need to respond to it, as (we) I are/am not that qualified to respond back to you in this field. But I will provide you a simple solution and see if it helps you in the interim.

You applied in January of 2004 and you must be expecting to hear back soon with some good news. You have scored 73 points in your calculations and that should keep you in the most suitable catagory in their department. So, let it ride. The guys in the immigration offices in New Delhi do not know about the tiff you are having with your swetheart. And who knows we don't want to know either and you might make up soon and get back to gether and we will become the bad guys.
So, the best thing to do is get a new address for the receipt of the responses. That way you will have all of the mail coming to you and she will have no access to it. Also she will not know what is going on. BUT if she is smart and has the file numbers to access and do some mischief for you she can accomplish it too. So, keep your eys balls peeled open. If I were you I would get a couple of toothpicks and keep them pried open.
When the time comes to pay for the landing fees you just pay only yours. Now you know yuou are the only one who is coming to Canada. That also leaves another option open to you, just in case you both get back. AND just in case...
After you come here, do try and settle down in an extremely far away location like Resolute, Nunavut, or Pond Inlet or even Whitehorse. There you get a mail box number and a Cell phone and live happily ever after, as in these places the weather is as close to the himalayan climate. Please do bring a 'thrishul and a lotta' and some holy water from Ganges. Don't forget the worri beads. I could not come up with any better.

Can it affect my immigration?
Certainly yes. See the answer above.

'what is the modus operandi' of excluding her from getting immigration?
Hey, you are not slow and you are not fast.............you are half.........

Hope this helps.

Freddie.
