Me, my wife and my daughter holds PR Cards since 2003. My daughter completes the residency requirements (1095 days) and is in the process of applying for citizenship.

Myself moved to Canada and working in canada and will complete 2 years of residency safely within the validity of PR Card by June 2008.

My wife is not staying here, and her PR Card is valid till 2008. June 28

MY QUESTION IS:
a) My wife will not be able to complete two years of residency by 2008. However, I believe she can enter Canada before the expiry of PR Card.
Being so,
a) what will happen on its expiry?
b) can she ask for an extension? -- (because of residential ties)
c) Being I am residing permanently here, can I ask for an extension?
d) Can my daughter sponsor her if she gets the citizenship by then?

Please advise the best possible options
Thanks

a) She wont' be able to enter if she lives more than 3 yrs outside canada, even if PR card expires in 2008.

b) check a)

C) NO

Best way to save her PR is to ask her to live here for couple of yrs until you get citizenship and then she can live outside Canada accompanying you as long as you guys are together or BEST way is to get her citizenship.

Sukh is absolutely right.Your wife cannot enter if she has not met residency requirement even though PR card expires in 2008. I faced same situation.Better follow advice given by SUKH.

My experience is that the Immigration officer will not stop you as long your PR card has not expired, but will warn you if you have been away for long time that at the time you apply for renewing your PR card, you will have issues.

This is my experience, as I was away for few months after being here for a year and half.
