I have applied for immigration to Canada at the Canadain High Commission, New Delhi India. Subsequently my wife came to Canada on a student visa and I have followed her on a longterm visitor visa ( spouse visa). At present I am in Canada with my wife and a child born in Canada. Now, I have got an interview waiver and have completed the medical tests. I have been asked by the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi to submit my passport. As I am already in Canada, it is not possible for me to go to India and submit my passport to the High Commission in New Delhi. I wish to know the recourse avialable to me to obtain the immigrant visa without going to India.
Courier your passport to the embassy. ... NOT to a relative who'll send it to the embassy.
I presume New Delhi issued you your visitor's visa. So, they know where you ought to be.

Thanks a lot for your reply.
I have a concern regarding sending the passport by courier to New Delhi.
What is the legal standpoint on sending the passport out of country.
I am not sure about it. Please advise.
vk
sending it to the Canadian embassy should not be a problem. the embassy is Canadian government authority.
