Education is expensive. Also for certain courses you need to give entrance exams, the subjects for which are college-level Maths, Biology, Chemistry or for that matter the subject relevant to the course. It is very difficult to learn those subjects again & for which you might have to take tuitions. Not many people have the time to teach you & if some classes are there, the cost might be prohibitive.

Also, when you are surviving pay-cheque to pay-cheque it is difficult to work part-time & study at the same time. One has family responsibilities also like kids & their studies, activities to take care of.

There are some people who, inspite of having upgraded their educational qualifications, have not got a job in their fields & position.

If you have kids (school going) then school fees .....

also water and Electricity bills..

These days petrol price was incresed by 35%......

I hope you understand all pricess will increse once petrol price is hiked.

getting apartment for 2500/month is very dificult these days in UAE.

Better you be there in Sharjah. To lead a life of your style you need a job of Can$ 15000 per month which is not plausible to get you as yu don't have "Canadian experience".

In Canada, pre-school starts at age 3. In other places, any day-care centre before nursery is considered as pre-school.

First of all let me tell that I am not telling any lies here..
I just wanted to ask with the rising exepenses in everybody's life in UAE
is it a wise move to migrate early instead of waiting for few more years..

I don't know which of my statements caused a fit of rage to this cynic guy..

I don't want to support any of my statements regarding inflation here as this is talk of the town rather country..and it is obvious to understand if anybody is reading daily newspaper.

With this I conclude and leave this forum..as I don't wish to continue this fruitless discussion.

I have been a silent observer of this forum and I really loved it. Coming to the topic, I cant understand why this cynic needs to suspect somebody, accuse somebody of lying . What is the point he or she is trying to raise .

I totally agree with chinnumama. If you still view this forum do come back . Its not worth leaving a good forum for somebody's immature and silly words.I live in Abu Dhabi and I pay a rent of 4K per month for a single bedroom furnished acc. I have been on the look out for a decent 2 bedroom for 5 months int he range of 40-42K per year I cant get it. The min. is 48K per year. The situation in Sharjah is slightly better which means a GOOD 2 bedroom is available from 36K per year.

And what is that stuff about nursery and IQ?? The term pre-school is used as an alternative for a nursery which accepts kids in the age group of 3 months - 4 yrs. I have 2 kids in the nursery or pre-school going age and if you want to put them in a decent place to need to shell out between 500 - 1000 DHS per month per child.

Where is your location Cynic?? and what right do you have to comment on somebody's lifestyle and call somebody a liar. It does not matter if you know 500 or 5000 because all you are saying about rent and expenses is outdated or maybe your \"lifestyle\" is not what somebody else wants to live.

GG , this is a great site and I was inspired to do smething like this in the UAE. Kudos to you. But if you allow such personal accusations to continue like this the credibility of this site will go down. This scenario is common in many forums however these days in CD there is too much of noise and accussations and ridiculing happening that I dont feel like viewing it as often as I used to .
