im looking for some people who are able to do web design work for a number of clients... the work can all be done remotely regardless of where you are, and completed work can be sent to the client via ftp, so basically all you need is an internet connection, a computer, some html editing software (there is a lot of opensource out there, if you need some, ask) and some programming skills...
design and specifications will be provided... compensation on a "per job" basis...

just to clarify a couple of pm messages i have gotten, i would prefer that the people who work on these projects are in canada already and legally entitled to work here...
its basically a two sided deal, where it will help out some new immigrants by making some extra cash on the side and get some experience working for a canadian company... and for me, get some of my work done at a reasonable price...
people will be essentially working as freelance consultants, will get paid on a "per job" basis (either by check or email money transfer) and would be responsible for their own income tax implications... i want to try this out and see how feasable it is, and if its something that could be done on a regular basis if it works out...

in retrospect, just a piece of advice (and please, dont anyone take this personally)...
i have tried explaining to everyone what exactly i was looking for... and that its almost always a basic design structure for corporate websites that are low end... almost all of the work is 5-6 html pages that are very simple to do using templates and placing images about a company's products within those templates... in all honesty, its probably 2 hours of work total per website for the initial phase (since all the content is provided) and possibly another hour per website once the client has reviewed it and made suggestions for changes required...
some of the quotes i have gotten back range from $300 - $1000 dollars per project....
bottom line is, guys when you are trying to talk people into giving you paid work, i completely agree you should not sell yourself short, but you should also not price yourself out of a job either... just something to keep in mind...
