Hi, Question..

Background: My mom had landed immigrant for Canada, but she did not stay long enough to get her PR Card.

Now, she wanted to come down to visit me in TO. In November 2004, she went to apply for Visitors VISA in Delhi and was told that she does not need to apply for VISITOR VISA, but to fill out the Travel Document application and pay the relevant fees and we will get back to you. She did that and is still waiting for the reply. We have sent numerous letters/emails to enquire regarding her status, but no reply.

Not sure what to do...

Please advise...

Keep pestering them. They'll have to reply. This is not a PR application and they cannot take for ever.

Thanks a lot for the information on the processing time.

Can you please let me know if the 5 day processing time you mentiones is beacuse of prior experience or is there any where I can find this informations.

I have looked multiple times but could not find any processing time for travels documents for canadian permanent residents abroad.

Also, can we pick up this document from the office in delhi rather then mail?
