Could ppl who applied around Aug/Sep 2004 please post their case timeline so far?

Also, does the online case status show activity as it happens or is there a significant lag, i.e, does the online view show that CIC has mailed a letter to appear for the test before you actually receive the letter etc. etc.?

My timeline -

Applied from toronto Sept 2004.
Recd ack Feb 2005.
Status visible online May 2005.

File transferred to local office June 07 2005

bison, thanks for including the link to the general cic timelines but members here would benefit more from knowing abt specific case progress so that they may have a sense of approximately when their application might get processed. thats the best thing abt these forums. anyway, feel free to post your specific case timeline if you wish.

June : called to CIC, they metioned we are doing backgroud check..and app. in december you will get interview.

I think rotuine processing time line should apply when you did your application. When I applied they were talkng about 12-15 after ack...Also, they mentioned after you appear for citizenship it was use to take 2-3 month, now atleast 6 month it will take. but no guarantee.. of time line.. u know how they talk !!!!

I am here only man, I do visit this forum..but the thing is there is no update in my status..there is nothing to contribute..

Gary, good to see that u r still around!

Btw, got an update that last week my file was transferred to the local centre for test & oath. Will keep you all posted. As Binal mentioned, it might be a while before the test request comes through.
