Hello Friends,

I am planning to land in Vancouver,BC on July 2 nd 2005 with my family (spouse & 2 kids,12 &15) to kick in my permanent status as a principal applicant.As of now I do not have any contacts to stay with in Vancouver but I am landing there bcoz Vancouver is closer to the location , where I am currently live i.e; Northern California.

I am intending to be there for 3 or 4 working days to apply for the PR card for me & my family and complete the process of PR.

Hence,what I would like to know from the GURUs is ,

1) What is the street address/location of the Office where I need to fill out and submit application for the PR card.
OR What is the procedure to apply for PR card if it's different from the above.

2) If there is a n Office some where in the city ,are there any motels or PG accomodation available to rent in order to be in the proximity of such an office where I need to commute/visit to make an application in person.
Preferbly walkable distance.Please suggest good and reasonable and nearby motels ot PG accomadations if any.

3) Do I necessarily have a permanent address in Vancouver where I am applying or is it fine any where in other provinces of Canada.

4)How many days it takes to complete the process of application.( Can I return in 2 or 3 working days).

5)What are the other things I missed out here to ask you which warrants attention or need to be considered during this process while I am in Vancouver city.

Your inputs and suggestions are highly appreciated in this regard.

AFAIK the application process is taken care at the port of entry

An address is needed so that the PR Card can be sent to you (in the mail). The address does not necessarily have to be a Vancouver adress.

4)How many days it takes to complete the process of application.( Can I return in 2 or 3 working days).

If that is the case ,where I should make an application for SIN card and Health I nsurance card etc.etc;.@ the port of entry??
