I had a bad expirience with a Taxi Driver who is a migrant from India. Our company had given us Blank Taxi coupons for the annual Golf party as they did not want us to drink and drive.
On the way to the party we had a "White or gora" taxi driver who accepted the coupons easily without any problem.
On the way back we had a "Desi or indian " taxi driver who refused to take the coupon and insisted on cash. We had a big argument with him and advised him that it was standard practise to use coupons and all the companies used it.Finally we had to threaten him to accept it as we were going to call up his Taxi company.
When i told this story in my office there were couple of guys who had similar expirience with Desi Taxi Drivers.

Maybe the taxi driver did not know that such a system existed. After all it is not that he gets passengers that get coupons from their company on a regular basis.

He had a radio to be intouch with his company. He can always call up and confirm with his company. Whenever possible i try to deal with a Gora guy in any office or public places like this because they are quite polite. I have had rude encounters with Non white folks including desis.

No. He is not in touch with his company. He is only in touch with the dispatcher part of the company.
