I would appreciate any information from Canadian desi(s) about this.

In order to sponsor parents, a minimum family income is required. This is called the LICO level, and has changed after 5th Feb, 2005.

We ar a family of three ( I, my wife and my daughter). We live in Mississauga. My wife would like sponsor her mother for permenent residence here. Does anyone know what the LICO will be ?

Hi,

With the information that you have provided, the total number of family members including your mother-in-law would be 4. Minimum necessary income required in this case will be $37,253.

Thank you Rajeev Narula, for the information about LICO. I have a question - Is the income mentioned, gross income or income after taxes?
