Thank you Bandhan and Mercury 6.

1.How do you rate Chem. Eng. Program of University of British Columbia/u of Alberta with that of Ontario Universities.

2.Do they consider an international student for Co-op programs.

Our PR is in the final stages (passports submitted 7 months ago. if that is not happen he shall apply as International student )
Rgds

Univ of British Columbia is an excellent school..no doubt about that..
But if I were you, i would rather stick to a university in Ontario...With
92 % in PCM, getting into any university will be easy...
I was talking to some of my friends at Western abt Chem Engg program..They know a lot more than me about Engineering as they are majoring in electrical engineering...They said that Waterloo is the best for Computer Engineering...But for Chemical Engineering they ranked these universities as follows..
1. Queens University
2. McGill University (located in downtown montreal)
3. Univ of Toronto
4. Univ of Western Ontario
5. Waterloo
6. McMaster

It really wont matter much if u pick any of the above universities...They are all overall excellent universities...If u look at the rankings in the magazines, they will mislead u sometimes...Its always best to contact people who actually attend the university ur interested in going to..
Univ of Alberta is a good university...But havent heard much about it, so cannot comment..
It will be great if u get ur immigration by next september....u will then not have to pay international student fees..

As ottawa nerd said avoid univ of windsor..AVOID it...Dont even apply there...Its not even worth ranking Univ of Windsor..doesnt fit in any category...its good for nothing

Cheers

Rajuu
May I ask why u want ur son to study Chemical engineering ?
Are you keen that he study in Canada, with you being in Canada ?
If you have an opportunity would you like to send your son to the USA (say for example...University of Texas at Austin)..Their Chem engg prog is one of the best in the world....

Would be awaiting your response...please do let us know what you son wants to study.

don't forget that University of Western Ontario is also famous for having the most beautiful girls he he. there is a North American ranking system of campuses with the most babelicious girls, and UWO only falls behind University of California and a couple other US universities.

as for TOEFL, there is a free group on the net to learn TOEFL.

Take note that as an International student you will be paying a lot more than as a PR.

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
