I am in India and had never stayed out of my country.
Visa Post : PARIS, FRANCE
AOR : April 2001
Addtnl Doc Submitted : July 2003 ( Updated Education, Job Experience and English Proficiency)
Addtnl Doc Submitted : April 2004 (Proof of Funds, updated education, experience, trips outside india and photographs)
Interview Attended : 14 October 2004
RPRF paid : 15 October 2004
Medicals Submitted : 9 November 2004
Waiting PP request.
Dear Mr. Massood,
I have read in some forum that you can submit passport alongwith medicals without any pp request letter. Doing so will shorten the time lenght and the officials will send stamped PP very soon.
Kindly throw some light on this.

I did that on my friend advice and here I am in Canada.

Could you please share your timeline:
specially from which country you had stayed and Visa Post from where you applied as well as whether you had stayed outside your country
I am an INDIAN who had never travelled anywhere outside INDIA as well as applied through VISA POST : PARIS, FRANCE.

My timeline:
Applied in Delhi : Dec 2001
Appeared for IELTS on direction of CHC Delhi: Dec 2002
Recvd letter to go for Medical: March 2003
Recvd Letter to pay processing fee for wife and kid, Landing fee for all and fresh PCC: April 2003 (Forwarded PP along with required documents on advice of my friend who had already adobted this method earlier in 2000) Also note that processing fee of family is not a must while applying to get your wife point considered, you are required to mention wife accompaning along with you to canada for getting her point considered. If your case is rejected, atleast you save money on processing fee of family. Atleast it worked in my case.
Recvd Visa : June 2003
Landed in Canada shortly after that.
My friend had similar timeline applied in Nov - Dec 2001 and recieved his visa in June 2003. He did forward PP along with Landing fee.
