Could any of you who have automobiles recommend a reliable mechanic in the GTA who can do engine work as well as brakes, suspension etc...
Appreciate any advice in this regard.

Could you please inform the reason to keep this car which needs Engine work -1, brakes - 2, suspension - 3. only system left in the car is transmission. Sell transmission and earn some money out of this Car.

Try your car dealership or canadian tire

the dealer ship will rip you off & so will canadianTire.
Where are you located, i know a guy in downtown Toronto.

If the car is still under warranty then you should go to the dealership.
Even after warranty period is over, it is sometimes better to go to the dealer.

I would advise against Canadian Tire because I haven't had good experience with them.

Isn't there a mechanic certification program here in Canada, like the ASE certification?
