I felt great abt my decision of Immigrating to Canada when I visited this section of Can desi..I feel one more thing which Can desi's can do is that they can tell the prospective immigrants abt the skill sets desired /certification required /cost involved in those certifications/ in each sector.
like I am aprospective immigrant from Manufacturing sector(Mech.Engr by profession).have exposure of 8 yrs in bearing manufacturing .question which comes to my mind is that which area in my field should i honn in order to increase my chances of getting a job in canada as I am having 2-3 yrs in inida before I come to Canada. That way Can desi will help new comers in agreatway.
thanx

Hi Montu,
it is good to seek info on the issue, but keep in mind 1 thing no qualifications from India are recognised in considering you for the job, all wha t they ask is canadian experience, and qualification.
Also please note that what an average INDIAN is capable of doing and is doing anywhere he goes is although far far more superior and better to what an avg canadian is capable of doing or he can do, yet , be prepared to believe that what your qualifications are and the kind of experience you have is still not up to the standard of Canadian requirements.
Please do not misunderstand me , I do not want to discourage you in any manner , and I am not etall exagerating the ground reality existing here .
I've landed just 3 months back from India. I too was too anxious to get such feedback from persons in Canada, so that it can help us prepare better when we land here, hope I ve replied to your querry, it may not be in the way u might have expected it.
