Hi,
I have a friend who submit the sponcership application for his parents in mississisuaga few months ago, and waiting for the replay back from them. He has good income and still he is doing the job same job, but due to his business which he had done few years ago, he need to file bankruptcy .
My quations is, is the bankruptcy effect his parenst immigration.
If then what will be the good way to avoid the problem.
He need to inform the CIC for his bankruptcy?
He is filing the bankruptcy after few month of submitting the application. how does his application will effect by his bankruptcy ?

if he informs cic about bankruptcy, that'll be the end of the sponsorship. However, if he has already received a positive assessment of eligibility, he's safe.
note: the legal requirement of income and solvency continues until the parents get their PR upon landing. If cic comes to know about the bankruptcy, he'll be liable for misrepresentation - an offence cic takes very seriously these days.
