If my parents cometo Canada on Visiot visa, do they travel to USA ?

Please anybody guide me.

apply for a US visitor visa at the consulate

You have to get visa from home country (India). Chances of getting US Visitor visa are very thin.

I am on temporary work permit to Canada ( 1 year ) plan to go to the US for visit can I apply from Canada and what are my chances of getting it am 45 years old and working in Canada for the last 4 months, what documents should I take to make my case strong .

Panga, GG has stated it quite emphatically here. In these days, unless you can demonstrate that "you have significant ties to the Canadian community", you may not be issued a US VISA from Ottawa. I know of my friend. His sister and brother-in-law applied for a US visa from India and they got it. Based on that, getting a Canadian Visa was a breeze ! Think abt it. Otherwise you can try your luck.
I guess you will have to book an appointment ( i think by calling up some 1-900 number). After that (repeat the process you enacted when applying for a US VISA from India

) ... And hope for the best.
