You just can't compete here. Physical stores are no longer a commodity as they used to be; and due to the proliferation of online marketplace that ensures anonymity. It's actually still frowned upon here in Western Countries, despite of the openness, many just can't gather courage to step into the store for the adult stuff. For them, online offers the anonymity. However, Internet is full of them and cheaper at it too.

Chinese stores have already excelled this. Check out 'AliExpress'.

So, a bad business, given the thriving competition.

Having said that, even if somehow someone manages to do it and makes profit from the online store, the margins are darn high.

Few months back when someone asked similar question at CD - I discussed this with one of my white co-worker---as per him he used to sell adult toys(esp dildo's) for female members...while studying in college.

I asked him where he find such ladies- as per him he go to ladies and lesbian gatherings/party's--connect with them online .

here white folks are expert ,they love money too much... I don't think many of us Desi's(esp engineering graduates) will find enough courage to start such business--we may prefer labour job/own grocery store if can't find job in field....
even Chinese wouldn't mind selling adult toys...what is wrong with us--do we Desi's conder selling adult stuff Sin ?

I reason why I backed out of this topic was because I was thinking that people might suggest very constructive thought. But since people are talking about dildo's and sex toy selling, I thought that may be I will tell of my ideas .

1. Buy stuff from garage sales and pick trash from the curb. Clean it and list it at Kijiji for sale. If you have a van, include delivery at an additional charge.
Some examples :

I bought a very good table for $ 20. Used it for 5 years and sold it to a desi (new immigrant) for $ 30+ $ 30 for delivery.

Stainless steel ice bowl. Bought for 25 cents and sold for $ 2.

Bought crib for $ 40 and sold it for $ 60.

2. What ever business you do, give free coffee. But Leo coffee from India (cheap) and make coffee. Use sugar with spoon and ordinary milk. Your per coffee cost may be 10 cents. But since white people are crazy about free stuff, this may increase your sales by 20-50%.

3. Now US coins are at a premium. Make a deal with all / many gas stations/ stores etc.. that you will buy US coins at a small premium. Collect all coins, cross the border and make them $. Save it or change it to CAnadian funds.
