RBO if you decide to contest and lose than court can charge you to the full extent of original charge which is 70 KM/HR .

Growing Old Is Mandatory ..Growing UP is Optional
This is a strange situation and will need some research for contesting. Also I am pretty sure it will show up on your driving record if you pay the fine.
Please read through the following link and see if you can understand anything :

I will let you know more when I find out.
Good luck.

No it won't go on your record. Airport is a Federal property, NOT provinical property, so it won't be a provincial offence and won't come under HTA act. Its more like a By Law ticket.
See link below : Especially Post # 11 , all professionals ( except for one ) told him, it won't come on his record :

001Stunna's : ( Exact same Tkt. as you at the Airport )
After speaking with Mississauga Court info desk, Peel police, Toronto police, Airport Police, Service Ontario - MTO, XCopper, Pointts, and Redline...
I was told by everyone except for Redline that this ticket would not go towards ones driving record and not appear in ones abstract at all. XCopper and Pointts even said they would not even take over such ticket simply as it's pointless to do so and its simply there for the money revenue.
Weirdly enough Redline claimed that "such ticket would go on ones driving record" and if I wanted to i could allow them to represent me for a cost. and funny enough from reading around I thought Redline was supposed to be highly kept for their knowledge and results.
In addition speaking to a friend who works as a broker I was told that insurance simply pulls your driving abstract when quoting a person...hence if its not in the abstract its not in front of insurance eyes either much like a parking ticket.
Thanks to those that replied; mods/admins may close if you wish to do so.

My advice is just pay up (unless you have a lot of time).
I have my own doubts that even if it is recorded in your insurance, 10 km/hr above speed limit is hardly anything to damage your driving history.
Once when I got a ticket, I went to a paralegal and got into a big mess, apart from waste of time. In the end, my ticket (excess of 24 km / hr) did show up in my driving record and it did not affect my insurance premium.
If you have enough time in your hands, try to contest the ticket. Otherwise, I suggest that you pay up and forget the incident. It is a very small incident to cause any major impact.
2 cents from my side.

I am a Gents and not a Ladies.
Conviction shows up in your driving abstract as yes/no, there is no column as major/minor etc. Whether your insurance company takes that into consideration, depends on the company and your history. I have had rate increases every year without conviction, just because insurance company made huge losses in the past year..
The only confusion is that this is a Federal land and the ticket issued by province on behalf of the Federal government. So a Federal conviction on provincial driving abstract?? Don't know for sure. Also don't know the exact process to fight this ticket... Is it the same process as HTA tickets? Most of the times you rely on pass judgment to defend your conviction, but since the Federal government does not directly convict, you can rarely find a previous judgment on this. Provincial rulings DO Not have weightage in Federal cases. That's why I said it is tricky and needs to be researched further.
Looking at the number of tickets people got, it seems it is a speed trap. So all visitors to Pearson, be warned...
Good luck RBO.
