Mr Masood
I just got married a month ago and my husband has alpplied for spouse visa.. we know there is a wait involved ... we were wondering if in the meanwhile i cud apply for a visit visa to canada? Is there a rule that one cant apply for visit visa while already having applied for spouse visa? and if one can..would it cause any complication to the spouse visa process if the visit visa is rejected? it wud be very nice if u could throw some light on this.
thanks.
My opinion is that its not a good idea. Spouse visas are processed quite quickly, my wife's got done in 2 mos. from the date of application. Of course this varies case by case, however the average time is about 3/4 mos.
You've already been waiting for a month now, your husband has most likely received an acknowledgement for your application or soon will.
Maybe a visitor visa application won't diminish your immigration application, but why take a chance for such a short time?
p.s. if you need any info about the application you can search for "spouse immigration" on this forum or send me a pm and I'll be glad to help out.
Good luck!
