With the victory of AAP, the local goons will be teaming up soon to start pursuing a career path as there is some potential. I would be concerned how discreet AAP would be to vet these outlaws hiding under the cover.

Modi's first U-Turn in right direction

http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/delhi-polls-nris-forced-modi-uturn-on-faith/article6909736.ece

***Some Extract on the news ***

Mr. Modi had been remaining silent despite the demand from Christian leaders that he speak out against conversions and attacks on Church institutions.

The Delhi election results, which saw the Aam Aadmi Party trump the Bharatiya Janata Party, made Mr. Modi break his silence.

“The rejection in Delhi has given the BJP a big jolt, leading to a course correction and a perception management exercise,” Balveer Arora, political scientist, said.

Till recently, Mr. Modi had maintained that while the government would ensure the security of everyone, he would not issue a statement in favour of any community or on religious issues to keep the focus from shifting from development. On Tuesday when Mr. Modi spoke, he made a strong statement against violence “against any religion on any pretext.” He later tweeted his remarks.

An example of will to succeed in anti corruption crusade...

"AAP government to launch anti-corruption smartphone app"

http://www.hindustantimes.com/newdelhi/aap-government-to-launch-anti-corruption-smartphone-app/article1-1318326.aspx

*** Excerpt ***

The Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government is all set to launch an anti-corruption app which will turn your smartphone into a handy spy cam to conduct sting operations on officials demanding bribes, sources said.

Sources said that the app, likely to be launched next week by the chief minister, will directly upload any recording done through it onto a government server to which it will be linked.

“Even if people are caught conducting a sting operation using our app, the recording will be safe as it will get transferred to the government server, which will be monitored by the anti-corruption branch,” said a senior government official.

my dirty mind says the app would be a flop show as people will be having lots of uploads done for fun...

& what is a app going to do ??? just waste of money.....who the hell would be taking bribe infront of a camera after this wide publicity of the mobile app ??

May be after release of the app & then no video coming up, AAP can justify that they have reduced corruption as they are not getting any videos uploaded...

:-}

Well, AAP govt . is not leaving on this app only to catch corrupt. This is one of the measure and tool for people to use.

More than that these announcements (plus other open announcements made by AK) will play deterrent towards corruption. Thus this wide publicity of such an idea. Just to tell thieves that eyes are every where.
Idea is to build a culture where paying bribe is considered a crime not a norm. There is no point catching a clerk and put him behind bars and then the family suffers because of his mistake.

I feel this should send a message to the corrupt people about the sincerity of the Govt to curb corruption ...

Where there s a will there s a way --- if the apps do not work , something else would - the Govt needs to be committed which AAP is .
