I am planning to move back to India or work in Middle east after getting my Canadian citizenship,

Can it be done, I don't have any ties to Canada, (no property, investment, loans, relatives, etc etc )

Will i have any liabilities or responsibilities in Canada ?

Do i have any tax liabilities etc, what is best way to achieve this goal ?

PLanning to live in INdia with OCI card

Relive yourself of any Canadian attachement like bank account, DL, Storage, property and you will be good.

You also need to inform CRA that you are leaving the country and becoming non resident. Don't forget to submit your last income tax return.

If these were to be a reason to abandon Canada most of us would have left long back .

Half of the Toronto (read GTA) lives in Basements, and all of them have same situation (no mortgage, no property, no kind relatives) , but they stay on.

is it something to do with mental strength , I wonder !!??!!
