Canadian citizenship

Thanks a lot for all the info, I have few more query just for knowledge. In my case my family is already landed in Canada, if they complete 3 yrs in Canada and then return back will they be eligible for Citizenship? My wife can come back for citizenship test and oath, is it necessary to be in Canada after applying for citizenship? Can OCI be done from India?

As long as they fulfil the requirements, they are eligible for citizenship. To the best of my knowledge, one can leave Canada after applying for citizenship.

OCI can be applied from India.

Hi I stayed in Toronto for 2 years , because of some family issues back home in India I came back to India and stayed in India for almost nineteen months but now I am planning to visit Toronto , please if anyone can guide me if that would be ok and there would be no problem for me in regards for landing in Toronto , pls advise

Since you say you plan on visiting Toronto, are you a PR of Canada? If you are a PR, based on your 2 years in Canada, you may not have any issues returning.

They may, of course, ask how long you have ben out of Canada and you may have some explaining to do at the port of entry.
