IMO, do not buy any Hybrid car, more problem than regular cars in Canada, why i knows because i am working in Automobile dealership and every 2nd or 3rd hybrid car comes with more electrical and main battery issue after warranty overs.
Normally Manufacturer giving main Battery warranty for 8 yrs or 130,000 kms. but what after 130.000 kms? you have to spend easily 6,000 to 7,000 dollars to fix the car or buy extra warranty from Manufacturer.
this is just my opinion - choice is yours....:-)
if you need any more information PM me.
regards

Thanks RBO, sent you a PM
now some cars are available which almost give same mileage like hybrid on highway. namely Honda Accord 4 cyl CVT , Nissan Altima 2014 etc have about 38 mpg highway without the extra burden of a hybrid cost & maintenance.
the new car market is so attractive with new technologies, awesome interiors, awesome highway mileage etc.
i agree nowadays, if your old car starts giving trouble then sell and use the money as down payment towards a new car. you will save atleast 100 dollars a month in repair which will go towards the new car payment and you will enjoy the new car and low gas costs .
