I agree. Hondas are quite easy to steal. Mine got stolen off my driveway in broad daylight!!! I got it back though after 2 weeks...just some kids that took it joyriding.

I am in the market to buy a used Honda / Toyota (97~2002) and I find that most (almost 90%) listed are with manual transmission. I find that very interesting - is there a reason? Were manual transmission a rage in that period? or are only the manual transmissions on sale ? I am looking on Autotrader and CL...any comments?

I do not see a reason why you're seeing so many manual cars in that year range. It's probably a timing thing. Wait for a some time and you may get a good deal
I have a 97 Camry which is an auto. I remember the time when I was buying the car, there were tons of auto ones around.
