I missed paying toll in USA and after 3 months received a bill of $42 at my home address in Canada. Had to pay online, there was no other solution.

Hi SS ,
As an update , I call the PA Turnpike and they advised me to wait till the charge comes in mail and then appeal for accidental EZ Pass exit ... I called the rental company ( citation dept) and advised them to forward me the mail .... Not sure as of now if they will put their admin charges but will update .

NY, I called they said I have to pay this, the toll chrage was 1 $ and the remaining was incidental charges like $25 to find the ownership of my vehicle and bla bla . I received notice to pay and after 1 month received the court notice.Thereafter paid online using my CC.

That's good to know. It's totally the opposite in Illinois. Infact they have signs after every toll booth and even on their website. Just mail them a check within 7 days.
Just wondering what if one mails them a check for the toll amount (within a week). Would they have accepted it.
With more and more States switching over to automated tolling, it makes sense to just get a transponder in the US. As an FYI, I-PASS, E-ZPass and i-Zoom can be used interchangeably and are accepted in 14 states by more than 20 different facilities. Look up their website for additional details. I-Pass does not charge any monthly fee or service charges and funds don't expire.

I think the damage has been done, and nothing that can be done now especially Since this is a rental car.
The toll charge will go directly to the rental company which will probably tag a processing fee and charge the OPs credit card.
