Hi ,
We were visiting Pittsburgh the long weekend and unintentionally failed to pay a toll (in Pensylvania ) ... Was driving per GPS and took the left most un marked lane thinking that would lead further to the Hwy and I would pay when I exit the Hwy later ...... Later never came and I realized I missed paying my toll ...
Now what ? Was driving a rental car - should I call them and explain or stay put assuming that licence plate info is not shared b/w US & Canada ... ?
Advice welcome ..... especially if some one has experienced a similar scenario .
Thanks ..

Here's the contact info for The Pennsylvania Turnpike. They probably have your licence plate. I'd suggest either call them or send them a message thru the Contact Us form.

Not a big deal, usually they give you a week or two to pay missed toll, after which they get on your back. Once you contact them ask them on how to pay up. usually they expect you to write a check and mail it.
I was in the same situation in Illinois a few years ago, but that was my personal car. I just wrote them a check for the amount, based on the toll calculator on their website.
Since you were in a rental car, I'd suggest you be proactive and pay up. If the rental company gets the violation notice they'll ding you will service charges.

Thanks a lot SS for the prompt response ... I will do as per the instructions ...
Surprising part was that the lane I exited was unmarked not an EZ pass lane... The GPS said -'Stay on the left' and I did and the leftmost lane was unmarked ---- ..
Either way I missed paying the toll and would contact them once the information comes up in mail .. Will keep the rental company informed as well .... Thx ..

was it Sandra or John on the GPS who asked you to "Stay on the left"
on a related note, I had some visitors from the US, I had specifically asked them to avoid toll (407) when reaching GTA from Niagara, but somehow they got confused and drove on 407, so will they get a bill from 407 to their US address? (they were driving own car)
