Paper send to delhi canadian embassy alomost 6 months now

Hi,
I applied for my mom permanent immigration in sep 2007 the file moved to delhi
she filled all the papers did her medical and send her passport to delhi embassy almost 6 months now we didn't hear anything yet when i see online all i see is this message below for last six months.
Please share your thoughts on this as online message is not updated since last
six months i mean are they processing or not any idea

We received your application for permanent residence on April 11, 2011.
Medical results have been received.

We are in the same boat as you. We filed Application in August 2007 and received medicals and passport call in December 2011. We submitted my mom’s passport and medicals mid Jan 2012 to New Delhi Office. It’s been six months and they still have her passport. My worry is that my mom is here in Canada without the passport. And we have no acknowledgement from the embassy that they received it. I sent them an email in early June and have not heard anything from them. Online status only says Medical received.
Is there anyone else who is in the same situation.

so your mom is a visitor in Canada?
-where did you get medical done? i thought when CIC delhi requests medical they also ask for the passports, atleast that's what happened in my case.

Yes she is visitor here and we got her medicals done in Mississauga. We sent the passport as well as they requested both medicals and passport.
So have your parents got the PR? When did you send their passport?

We are also in the same situation - for my in-laws sponsorship application. The message on the web site is the same and so is the time line....we submitted the passport and medicals in Jan 2012.
