Just finished watching abc 20/20.

The issue is very complicated.

Very impressed with the neutral stand taken by abc .

Ravi was offered 1 year community service but he took a stand that he was not at fault and went to the jury.

The jury did not have the full picture and went hammer and tongs against Ravi.

Ravi has been made a scape goat by the media.

But Ravi also made mistakes but the sentence is NOT in proportion to his crime.

Feel very Sorry for this 19 year old now with 10 years of prison and deportation.

ABC was supporting Ravi and the cyberspace is divided on Ravi's verdict.

Ravi was unlucky that right at the very same time there was a celebrity movement going against bullying and Ravi became a poster child for this campaign.

Very interesting fact is that he goes into his friends room the Chinese girls room to turn on his webcam through remote from her computer to show this 30 year old in his room with the kid. He turns on the webcam to see who this guy but they find the 30 year old and the 18 year old kissing. He shuts off immediately.

But the Chinese cuts a plea bargain with the prosecutors to blame the Indian for hate crime.

He got screwed for this betrayal by his friend ?.

The kid who jumped off the bridge had written to his parents a few months ago and was in depression and had written a letter to his parents that he could not handle this and felt alone.

Ravi also sent a message to this kid apologizing for his behavior and did not want to move out.
When the kid learnt that Ravi was his roommate he had twitted that he has an Asian for his room mate.
I feel vey sorry for Ravi and I would like to apologize to Ravi and withdraw whatever derogatory I've said about him on CD. I got carried away by media reports and hope and pray that Ravi gets justice.

I personally wish that Ravi's parents find the strength and courage to hang in there when his son is being potrayed as monster by media

Look at the way the marine who killed 16 in Afghanistan has been smuggled out and is being protected.
But I want to congratulate Ravi for standing up to New Jersey court system at the cost of
his freedom.
RAVI WILL DEFINITELY WALK OUT A FREE MAN WITH LESS SENTENCE WHEN HE GOES TO
HIGHER COURT.
I'm very curious about Anand Jon's case now and may be there is some bias there also.
